Since our inception in 1971, we have committed to developing a company that provides customized material handling solutions and logistic services for our customers. We sell, service, and rent material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet trucks, parts, integrated warehouse systems, and related supply chain equipment. Most of our facilities also contain warehouses, giving our Associates a strong understanding of the nuances of an environment that our customers work in each day.

Diversity
Malin has a strong bilingual culture, due to our thriving offices located on the border between Texas and Mexico. Our Associates in El Paso and McAllen (at the heart of the Rio Grande Valley) serve customers in both the USA and Mexico. Those efforts require that many of our support groups like Sales Coordination, Accounting, and Finance, maintain bilingual staff to meet the language needs and culture of our customers.

Nationally, Malin is part of The Raymond Corporation’s Sales and Service Center (SSC) network. This affords Malin the opportunity to collaborate with other SSCs across the nation on unique offerings for clients.

Tuition Reimbursement
Malin has various programs to support forklift technicians during their apprenticeships and training, as well as tuition reimbursement for degree programs. Each career development plan is unique to our Associates, and with that, the educational plan as well.

Social Functions
Each of Malin’s seven branches hosts an annual holiday party and awards dinner where our Associates are recognized for maintaining high efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. Throughout the year, offices celebrate holidays with their local teams. Because all of Malin’s Associates are on a first name basis – including our CEO – social events are much like spending time with close friends and family. A few annual traditions include National Forklift Safety Day, picnics, Octoberfest (Halloween), health/wellness challenges, and office potlucks. Most departments also organize team-building events like cooking classes, laser tag, bowling, golf, and more.

A day in the Life [support and tech roles]
To support customers in all major industries, work start times are staggered with many Field Technicians on the road before 7:00 a.m. Office-based personnel begin as early as 7:30 a.m.

As a Field Service Technician, no two days are totally alike. You may start with the repair of a forklift and end the day back at your home office to connect with your Service Manager or to pick up a spare part from the Parts group. Your service van is your office and comes equipped with the latest tablet technology to access communication tools, work order software, and stay connected to your team and customers. Forklift technicians tend to work consistent 40-hour schedules week-to-week.

The corporate and administrative support groups work closely within their own as well as other departments throughout their day. Our Service Coordination group is responsible for dispatching Field Technicians from one site to the next. Accounting and Finance maintain the processes for invoicing customers, corporate purchasing, and accounts receivable and payable. Other departments include Shop Service, Systems, Service Administration, Human Resources, Safety, Rentals, Used Equipment, Logistics, Sales, and Marketing.

In the material handling industry, no two days are identical. Each day is dynamic and the perfect opportunity to collaborate with other departments and have fun doing so.
