Everyone has his or her own story to tell about what drives them to succeed.
ResponsibilityUnit4 takes responsible corporate citizenship very seriously and worldwide has a long track-record of supporting CSR activities and charitable initiatives.
Over the years, many of our colleagues have supported many good causes, creating impact by helping the environment, and raising money for underprivileged and sick people through various group and individual initiatives.
At the same time, spontaneous support and fundraising initiatives were organized for colleagues that were diagnosed with serious or terminal illnesses. As was the case with our former Benelux colleague, Danny van Brenk, who sadly passed away March 2017 after battling cancer for years. Throughout his illness, Unit4 colleagues supported him in raising funds for his expensive treatment in the US that was back then not available in the Netherlands and hence also not supported by the Dutch healthcare system.
It was Danny – and similar cases in other Unit4 offices worldwide – that inspired us to create the Unit Cares Foundation: a Unit4 fund for colleagues or their partner or children who are suffering from serious or terminal illnesses. To financially support them, where and when needed. To help them obtain a rare treatment abroad, make adjustments in their home, or other support that contributes to improving their health or wellbeing.
We don't get to decide who falls ill. What we can decide is who gets the support, the care and the attention in times of need. That’s what the Unit4 Cares Foundation is all about.

We are dedicated to the success of exceptional causes from around the world and we take our corporate responsibility seriously – not only to help other groups succeed but to embody their positive values in our work every day.
