About MADD
Cutting drunk driving fatalities in half since 1980 didn’t happen accidentally. It took a cadre of dedicated volunteers and staff to change both attitudes and laws. Consider becoming a part of our team and join the thousands of others who have helped pave the way for safer streets.
Opportunities include implementing community-based programs, working with law enforcement officers, providing victims critical services in their time of most need or a whole host of other positions.
Mission: To end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking.
Our History:
Founded in 1980 by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking. MADD changed American culture by introducing the “designated driver” in 1986 and related red ribbon awareness campaign Tie One On For Safety® now in its 30th year. MADD’s Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving® is marking its 10th anniversary and reducing drunk driving fatalities by 25 percent since its launch. MADD supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge, providing a service every four minutes through local victim advocates and the 24-Hour Victim Help Line 1-877-MADD-HELP. Power of Parents® and Power of Youth® programs reduce underage drinking. Learn more by visiting www.madd.org or calling 1-877-ASK-MADD.

Quarterly Victim Advocacy Training - our team flew in our field employees to national headquarters to participate in training.
Work From Home and Furry CoworkersWhile working remotely during COVID, we conducted Campfire meetings with our staff across the nation. They were encouraged to bring their "new coworkers" onto the call. We saw many furry friends, including this baby goat in California!
Chinese New Year CelebrationAn important part of creating dynamic company culture is celebrating and learning about the culture of others. We celebrated the Year of the Rat with games, educational facts and traditions, and by indulging in Chinese food with our staff!
Holiday Desk Decorating ContestTo add element of holiday spirit, we encouraged our employees across the nation to decorate their desk or work spaces. We asked them to use our company social media, WorkPlace by Facebook, to share photos and vote on their favorites. We love to create connections across our company, creativity, and have fun while we do it!
